SPAA President Brian Potter has announced that well known travel sector figures Alan Milne - General Manager of D P & L Travel, and Ken McLeod - Director-Business Travel for Advantage Travel Centres have joined the Association's Council. Both have been familiar characters on the Scottish travel scene for a number of years, although Ken McLeod now works across the UK travel sector in his role with the consortium.
Commenting on the development, Brian Potter stresses the strength-in-depth now being deployed by SPAA Council on behalf of its Members, 'Following up on, and combining with the futureSPAA view brought on board with the recruitment of Gayle Gordon (Alba Travel), we are absolutely delighted to have acquired the valuable additional experience and expertise which Alan and Ken will bring to an already strong Council.'
'Not least on the political and regulatory fronts, our Members face a continuing series of challenges, and SPAA Council is fully engaged in helping meet them. Along with the ongoing commercial pressures we all face, this makes for a continuously heavy workload, so to have these three colleagues on board is very helpful!'
