"Super September is upon us ..."

Hello ladies and gentlemen!

I hope this email finds you all well, having returned from your summer break as full of enthusiasm as I am and ready for the busy months of September and October… its less than four months until Christmas!

Firstly, thank you very much for your continued support, July and August have been interesting months, and business has been mixed – but there have been a number of fantastic big bookings from some of our best agents: your support has been simply fantastic, thank you again.

Earlier this year I was very lucky to be able to finally travel to one of my top 10 destinations: Cuba has been on my To Do List for many years and with the advice of our resident Cuba expert Kathryn Irons I was able to tick it off at last. We covered Havana, Vinales, Pinar del Rio, Les Terrazas, Trinidad, Santa Clara and Cayo Santa Maria, I toured cigar & rum factories, tried some salsa dancing (be careful what image of me dancing you create in your head J), watched elegant Cuban ballet, and absorbed the amazing history on every street corner – this is a country still frozen in the 1950s but you have to visit now before the Americans take over… The Cuban people are some of the most amazing I have ever met, friendly and always happy, and it’s also the safest country I have ever visited. After a few too many cigars and mojitos I ended up misplacing my mobile phone on three occasions in various locations, only to return the next day and be given my phone back by the person who found it! If you have any questions about our programme to Cuba please don’t hesitate to contact me or my colleague Kathryn Irons in our reservations team (who used to be a tour guide in Cuba) – call 020 7593 1892 or email [email protected].

“Super September” is now upon us and our contracting and marketing team have been hard at work coming up with some of the best newsletters and postcards I have seen them create – I have selected three highlights for you below. Remember, as with all our marketing material, you can either post them to your most discerning clients, email them, or you can download these with your logo from our agents section of the Kirker website. Please get in touch if you don’t have a log-in yet.

  1. The Take Six newsletter is full of inspiration and creative themes to encourage your clients to get in touch: Special Occasions, Autumn Sunshine, Art Exhibitions, Wine Regions, ‘Alternative Cities’ – great for those who have ‘done’ the usual city break destinations, Winter Sunshine and Christmas breaks, to name a few. We have picked 6 of our favourite destinations and special offers for each of the themes. Call for a hard copy or click for the online version:Take Six
  2. Our Hotel of the Month is the fantastic La Residencia (5* Deluxe) in Mallorca, and we have a spectacular autumn offer which includes a three course dinner for two at their excellent restaurant, and 4 nights for the price of 3. Again, let me know if you would like a few postcards in the mail, or view it online:Here
  3. Battlefield Tours. Last but not least we also have a newsletter focusing on tours of famous battlefields, which I am sure will be of interest to those clients who follow military history – perhaps they have a family connection to one of the wars. Each itinerary also includes delicious dinners and varied sightseeing – not just battlefields – as well as charming tour leaders and small groups of like-minded people. Please click on this link: Battlefields

If you would like to order hard copies please email either our marketing guru Patrick Millar on [email protected] or Steve Wilkinson on [email protected] or myself so that we can get these out to you ASAP, the quicker we get these to you the quicker you can send them out, fingers crossed we will all get some bookings from them.

Wishing you a fantastic September!

Kind regards
