Edinburgh Airport has welcomed the easyJet announcement of two new routes from Edinburgh - to Gibraltar and Catania.
easyJet will fly from Edinburgh to Catania twice a week throughout the summer season, with flights launched on 29 March 2020.
easyJet will fly from Edinburgh to Gibraltar twice a week throughout the year, with flights launched on 31 March 2020.
Gordon Dewar, Chief Executive of Edinburgh Airport said, "It's another positive announcement as easyJet expand yet again at Scotland's busiest airport, basing another aircraft at Edinburgh and providing yet more variety of destinations for passengers.
"Gibraltar provides both leisure and business opportunities while Sicily has been a long sought after destination - we're delighted to offer yet more choice, something we are always looking to do. This expansion is another sign of confidence in Edinburgh Airport from easyJet and we look forward to these routes beginning in March and making them a success."
